Taste is forking important, so
would you give the food 1 fork or 5 forks?
Congrats, you’re helping fellow Ribbiters on their journey to a tasty eco-friendly meal! Now get out and explore, Ribbit is the perfect tool for traveling so you can keep maintaining your eco-lifestyle.
We only look at 5 categories that could impact your visit and here they are:
Are some ingredients locally sourced on-site, from local farms or local waterways? This is important to keep the total footprint of food at a minimum, plus, locally sourced food tastes better!
Salads don't count. Plain and simple. There needs to be some vegetarian options on the menu as main dishes.
Reusable cups are the best! But compostable cups are cool too. Any of those options are better than the generic plastic cup.
Same goes for utensils as it does for cups, nothing changes!
Need we say anything else? If you must suck, please suck responsibly.
"Ribbit is on the front lines of clean, green innovation. I tend to choose dining options based on eco-friendly practices (compostable materials, no plastic, etc) and local sourcing, but it's hard to find those options without stumbling upon them."
"What we are doing to our bodies and our environment is not sustainable and I believe Ribbit will better educate consumers on who these restaurants truly are and what they stand for."
"Food quality and sustainability often go hand in hand, and Ribbit is an excellent platform to find restaurants with fresh, local ingredients and eco-friendly practices."
